| Roommates Needed |
[24 Sep 2006|01:53pm] |
Current Music: TV
Hi everyone :-). I need one or two roommates to share an apartment with one girl and one guy next Spring 2007. It is fully furnished with a bed, dresser, and closet in each room. Downstairs there is dining room table, 3 couches, a TV, stove, dishwasher, refrigorator, etc. It even includes dishes and pots and pans. It has 2 full baths, including one which was just redone last year. The best part is that it is on Conesus Lake. It is less than 20 feet from the water, complete with own dock (when it is warm enough), barbeque grill, and fire pit. It is about a 10 minute drive from Geneseo's campus. The apartment is, as I said to be shared with one guy and one girl, and two cats. The place is beautiful and well kept; the landpeople always fix things immediatly when they are told something is wrong. There are also laundry facilities available. The cost is $416.50 a month, which include all utilities: Heat, water, garbage, electricity, and internet. There is also plenty of parking space available. If you would like to see it or have any questions please feel free to post back, email Lisa (lar9@geneseo.edu) or Lee (redclaw6269@yahoo.com) or call Lisa (315-212-6007) or Lee (716-930-2029). There are two rooms available, but they do not have to be rented simultaneously. If you rent one room and we do not find someone to rent the other, the rent WILL NOT go up; your share stays at $416.50 a month.....soooo if you are looking for a place on your own and have been having trouble finding one which is affordable this is probably perfect for you! Give us a call any time...Lee is easier to reach during the day. This is our second year out here so we can answer any questions you might have. For those who have facebook you can facebook Lisa Robbins at Geneseo and see some picutres of the place. Hopefully we'll be hearing from you!

| Horror Movie Screening at Buffalo Central Terminal |
[05 Jun 2006|02:24am] |
On June 23rd at 6pm EST, Red Scream Films LLC, in association with The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation, Buffalo Nickel Productions, Sound Video Solutions, Fright World and The Voodoo Dollies will present a sneak peek screening of the feature film Prison of the Psychotic Damned to Benefit the Buffalo Central Terminal restoration efforts.
Prison of the Psychotic Damned is the first feature film by Buffalo based production company Red Scream Films LLC. This suspense-horror film is about five ghost hunters who come to the Terminal to investigate whether or not it really deserves its reputation as one of the most haunted places in the world. When the sun sets they find the terrifying answer.
Prison of the Psychotic Damned was shot on location in the Western New York area with the majority of the film shot inside the Buffalo Central Train Terminal. The film was directed and edited by D.W. Kann from a screenplay by Red Scream Films LLC CEO David R Williams who also produced. Plans call for several of the film’s cast, including stars Melantha Blackthorne and Demona Bast, to attend. They will answer questions about the film and sign autographs.
“This will be a unique film experience,” said Williams, “The audience will not only be the first audience to get to see this film outside a small group of production people, but they will also get the opportunity to watch the film where it was shot.”
Built in 1929, the Central Terminal is a massive art deco masterpiece that time, weather, uncaring owners, and vandals have not been kind to.
“The purpose of this event is not to promote our film,” said Williams, “The purpose is to help restore the Buffalo Central Terminal. We were shooting here for a full nine days and everybody, cast and crew alike, fell in love with the place and by the end of the shoot, nobody wanted to leave. This is our way of giving something back and hopefully generating publicity for the terminal and the efforts of the CTRC to save it.”
Digital Projection equipment is being provided by Sound Video Solutions. punk girl-band The Voodoo Dollies will perform the opening credits song “Suffer Cake” as well as several other numbers. Special BCT copies of the film will be available for purchase.
Where: THE BUFFALO CENTRAL TERMINAL! Date and Time: June 23rd, 2006…Doors open at 6pm. Digital Production Services by Sound Video Solutions. Tickets: $5 at the door. The Buffalo Central Train Terminal is Located at 495 Paderewski Drive in Buffalo, NY.

Merry Meet All! |
] |
Well, I thought I would put up a (hopefully) short introduction of myself. I'm Mel, or Ravenwood, as you desire to call me. I fell in love, so to speak, with Paganism about two years ago, to the *cough cough cough* "delight" of my mother....I know that probably most people here if you didn't come from a Pagan background that are out of the "broom-closet" can relate to that in some way shape or form. I say "fell in love with Paganism" because of something a dear friend of mine said at one of our Pagan Studies Organization meetings here on SUNY Potsdam campus that made a lot of sense to me. It went something like this, "You can't practice a religion, you can practice how to ride a bike, or how to give a speech...." so I choose "fell in love" to describe my devotional attitude toward Paganism. Uhm...hmmm...what else about me? Oh, doi, I re-instituted the Pagan Studies Organization (PSO) this semester...it had apparently disbanded in 2001 or there abouts though the last constitution they had on file was for 1996. I did this for two fold reasons. Firstly, the Catholic SGA organization was, harassing (best word for it) a dear friend of mine during the Spirituality Festival for being Pagan, and I thought it would be a good recourse to simply make our presence known as being an influence not just someone that they could beat on. Secondly, I had been approached by several members of the campus Pagan community asking for not so much as a coven meeting, but just a place where we could have time to talk about things that were troubling us or just "Pagan" things that not a lot of people would understand unless they were Pagan. I thought it was a good idea and I have fought to get it in. The rest about me.......I'm 22 in 13 days, I go to SUNY Potsdam (obviously since I've been prattling on about it), I'm a second semester Junior, History Major...and since this is shaping up to be no ones version of short, if you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Merry part and blessed be.
